50 Best once again!
February 2007 - Alumicor has been selected once again as one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies, competing against applicants from all industries for the calendar year 2006. This is the 4th year in a row that the company has been recognized as one of Canada’s 50 best. Outgoing President & CEO, Lakis Georgiou, who retired on December 31st/06, after being Alumicor’s CEO for almost 18 years and newly appointed President & CEO, Don Weaver, a 19 year Executive of the company, both thanked the customers, employees and suppliers of the company for the company’s on-going success. This milestone achievement was recognized at a gala at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel in Toronto, Ontario on February 12th, 2007 and covered by the National Post on February 7th/07.
Mr. Georgiou will stay on Alumicor’s Board as a Director. “It’s been a thrill to have worked with the best team in the business” said Georgiou. “I am looking forward to the challenges ahead” said Weaver.
