Jennie Lamoureux works closely with Canadian architectural design professionals to evaluate, select and specify aluminum-framed curtainwall, storefront, skylight, entrance and window systems for commercial building envelopes. Drawing from her industry experience and Alumicor’s expertise, she helps support project goals for performance, appearance, sustainability, on-time scheduling and long-term value.
Based in Montreal and fluent in French, Lamoureux says, “J’adore développer des relations, des idées et des projets ainsi que partager mes connaissances et échanger avec des passionnés.” Translation: “I love developing relationships, ideas and projects, as well as sharing my knowledge and interacting with those who are passionate about this industry.”
A leader in the Construction Specifications Canada (CSC), Lamoureux serves as the board chair for the Montreal chapter, known better as the Devise de construction Canada (DCC-CSC Section de Montréal). Her dedication and contributions to the DCC were recognized with a CSC 2020 Chapter Award of Merit. She continues to chair DCC’s executive and specifier committees, and guides the chapter’s communications and activities, including virtual and in-person events and educational presentations. She successfully completed CSC’s Principles of Construction Documentation (PCD) coursework.
Lamoureux is an active member of the Association de vitrerie et fenestration du Québec (AVFQ, Quebec Glazing and Fenestration Association) and participates in the Technical Committee -Commercial Sector. She also represents Alumicor as part of Apogee Enterprises, Inc. as member of the Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) and contributes to the Architectural Products Council’s Methods of Test Committee.
Prior to joining Alumicor, Lamoureux worked as a technical representative for thermal insulation solutions, a business development manager for a residential window and door manufacturer, and in various marketing roles with the real estate, insurance and travel industries.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations and advertising with an emphasis on international studies from the Université Laval in Quebec City. This led her to pursue license and master of communications studies at l’Université Catholique de Lille in France.
Outside of her professional and educational pursuits, Lamoureux volunteers in her community with Make-A-Wish Canada/Fais-Un-Voeu Québec.
